ATLANTA – Centre women's soccer won its second consecutive Southern Athletic Association match Saturday, defeating Oglethorpe on the road, 2-0.
The Colonels (2-1-1, 2-0 SAA) out-shot the Stormy Petrels (0-1, 0-1) by a massive 29-0 margin, ultimately getting goals from
Megan Sidaway and
Sarah Sirkin to walk away with the victory.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Centre took 15 shots – five on goal – in the opening 45 minutes, but Oglethorpe managed to keep the match scoreless heading into the halftime break.
- Sidaway finally put the Colonels on the board early in the second half, scoring her second goal of the season.
- The Colonels' continued pressure eventually led to another goal from Sirkin in the 71st minute, marking the senior's second goal of 2021.

- Centre has dominated possession in its three matches against Division III opponents, resulting in a 74-10 combined advantage in total shots. The Colonels last held their opposition without a shot attempt in the 2019 SAA Tournament opening round against Millsaps (Nov. 2, 2019).
- Sidaway led the Colonels with five shots, while Sirkin and
Cameron Zak had four apiece. Eleven individuals had at least one shot attempt for Centre.
