BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Centre women's soccer stepped up in competition Saturday afternoon, falling by a narrow 1-0 score against NCAA Division I Western Kentucky at the Hilltopper's Soccer Complex.
The Colonels (0-1-1) surrendered an early goal to the Hilltoppers (4-2-0), but kept the home side without a score for over 84 minutes of game time.
HIGHLIGHTS
- WKU's Brina Micheels found the back of the net less than eight minutes into the contest.

Jonelle Barron recorded five saves for the remainder of the half to keep the score at 1-0.
- Centre limited WKU's attack in the second half, holding the 'Toppers to just four shots and two on goal – both of which were stopped by
Sarah Stodghill.
- The Colonels' own attack was stifled, however, as lone attempt from
Annabel Justice was the only shot in the second half.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- WKU had 15 shots to Centre's three. The Hilltoppers also held a 12-0 advantage in corner kicks.
