DANVILLE, Ky. – Centre softball fell by a 9-1 score Sunday afternoon against No. 18 Birmingham-Southern in the finale of the teams' Southern Athletic Association series.
The Colonels drop to 0-8 (0-3 SAA) while the Panthers leave town 15-2 overall (3-0 SAA).
HIGHLIGHTS
- Birmingham-Southern scored twice on three hits and an error in the top of the first.

Haley Simon started a two-out rally in the bottom of the frame with a double down the left field line, and
Sarah Fly followed with a RBI single.
- It proved to be Centre's lone run, however, as the Panthers plated five in the second to widen the margin.

Andrea Searcy tossed a couple scoreless innings in relief.
