CONWAY, Ark. – Centre men's soccer handled Hendrix by a 4-0 margin Friday evening on the road.
The Colonels improve to 2-3 overall with a similar 2-3 mark in the Southern Athletic Association, while the host Warriors fall to 0-6-1 overall and 0-5-1 in-conference.
Centre has won the last 10 meetings against Hendrix and has gone unbeaten in 18 consecutive matches dating back to 2002.
HIGHLIGHTS
- The visitors wasted little time getting on the board, as
Ryan Roussel hit Wilcox for the first goal of the evening just eight minutes into the match.
- Wilcox secured the brace barely 10 minutes later to give Centre a 2-0 advantage.
- Roussel got in on the scoring shortly after to give the Colonels a three-goal edge before 20 minutes elapsed off the game clock.
- Wilcox completed the first-half hat trick off an assist from
Will Newton in the 26th minute.
- The Colonels limited the Warriors' chances in the second half as they cruised to the victory.
