MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Centre softball dropped a pair of Southern Athletic Association games at Rhodes Saturday by 4-2 scores.
The Colonels fall to 3-15 overall and 3-8 in the SAA, while the Lynx improve to 12-14 with a similar 3-8 conference mark after Saturday's crucial wins.
GAME ONE: Rhodes 4, Centre 2
- Centre plated a pair in the second inning to open the scoring, beginning with
Kaylee Gregory coming home on a ball put into play by
Riley McCue.

Hailey Watson's RBI groundout in the next at-bat.
- Morgan tossed five scoreless frames in the circle, scattering four hits while striking out six and getting out of multiple jams.
- Rhodes eventually broke through in the sixth, however, piecing together a game-changing two-out rally. The Lynx had four straight singles and a double to take a 4-2 lead it wouldn't relinquish.
GAME TWO: Rhodes 4, Centre 2

- Rhodes led 4-0 before Centre was able to push two runs across in the sixth. McCue drove in Watson with a double to left field and later scored on an RBI groundout from
Maddison Ellis.
- The Colonels had two runners in scoring position in the seventh, but the Lynx were able to close out the win.
- Centre finished with 10 hits from eight individuals, but ended up stranding nine baserunners.
