Centre women finish perfect SAA record with 2-0 win at Rhodes

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – For the sixth consecutive season, Centre women's soccer completed an undefeated, untied season in the Southern Athletic Association as they defeated the Rhodes Lynx 2-0 in the regular season finale.

- The first half of the contest saw Centre get a few scoring chances in the early minutes, but unable to convert.
- At the 27-minute mark of the first half, the Lynx had what turned out to be their only scoring opportunity of the match, but Sarah Stodghill stoned the attempt by Rhodes's Alli Cundiff and the game remained scoreless.
- With seven minutes left until halftime, the Colonels drew a Rhodes penalty and Kristin Dean converted the ensuing penalty kick to put Centre on the board for the first time.
- In the second half, the Colonels controlled the possession throughout and quickly put the contest away six minutes in as Mills Mullen found Sarah Sirkin, who scored to put Centre up 2-0. Rhodes never attempted another shot the rest of the way as Centre kept the pressure on until the 90th minute had elapsed.
