DANVILLE, Ky. – Centre men's soccer returned to the pitch for the first time this fall, playing Berea to a scoreless 0-0 draw under the lights at Andrew P. Amend Field.
The Colonels dominated possession and turned in a sizeable 28-3 shot advantage, but the visiting Mountaineers still managed to escape with a draw, even after going down to 10 men.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Centre totaled eight shots in the first half, but the lone attempt on goal was saved by Berea's Benjamin Rado.
- The Mountaineers went down to 10 men after one of their players drew a second yellow card in the 65th minute.

Sam Brunner nearly capitalized shortly after the red card, but Rado was equal to the task.
- Throughout the remainder of the second half, Centre totaled eight shots and seven corner kick opportunities, but Berea was able to force extra time.
- It was much of the same in the two overtime sessions, as the Mountaineers used a mixture of timely defense, quality goalkeeping and good fortune to fend off a barrage of attacks from the Colonels.

- Along with their large advantage in total shots, Centre also held a 21-0 edge in corner kicks.
