GAMBIER, Ohio – The 17th-ranked Centre field hockey team defeated Kenyon 3-0 on the road Saturday.
The Colonels remained undefeated with a 3-0 record, while recording their second straight shutout and sending the Ladies to 1-2.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Nearly a full quarter elapsed without a goal, but
Olivia Broyles found the back of the cage in the closing seconds of the first to make it 1-0. It marked her first goal of the season.
- Neither side found a true scoring opportunity in the second quarter as the Colonels carried their lead into halftime.

Shelby Young doubled Centre's advantage less than three minutes into the third quarter with her first goal of the season.

Meredith Wickenheiser added an insurance goal early in the fourth to complete the scoring.

Carlie McKenry each saw time in goal for the Colonels. Neither recorded a save as the Centre defense did not allow a single shot on target.
