CONWAY, Ark. – The Centre volleyball team saw its win streak come to an end on Sunday afternoon as the Colonels fell to the Hendrix Warriors in straight sets.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- In the opening set, both teams traded the lead back and forth throughout. With the score tied at 21-21, the Colonels put together their biggest run of the set, scoring three straight points to force a set point, but Hendrix battled back with six in a row to take a 26-24 win.
- The second set played out in a similar fashion, with neither team able to create much distance. The Warriors used a run of three straight points to break a 16-16 tie, and the Colonels could only cut the deficit to one the rest of the way as Hendrix won 25-20.
- Centre grabbed an early 12-6 lead in the third set, but Hendrix chipped away, scoring seven straight points midway through the frame to take the lead for good, eventually winning by a score of 25-20.
