MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Centre women's basketball lost a 76-56 decision at Rhodes Sunday afternoon, falling to the Southern Athletic Association leaders inside Mallory Gymnasium.
The Colonels (6-12, 3-4 SAA) were tied with the Lynx (13-2, 5-0) early in the third quarter before the home side went on an extended 20-7 run to pull away.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Rhodes shot 50% in the opening quarter to gain a 21-14 advantage through 10 minutes.

Bailey Rucker helped the Colonels bounce back with a 13-6 start to the second quarter, tying the game at 27-27 midway into the period, but the Lynx would eventually take a 34-29 lead into the break.
- Centre began the third quarter on a quick 7-2 spurt tie the score at 36-36.
- The Lynx would clamp down on the Colonels from that point, however, limiting Centre to just 3 of 11 from the field while separating themselves on the scoreboard with a 20-7 run.
- Rhodes out-scored Centre 18-11 in the final frame to secure the win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Rucker had 12 points off the bench to lead the Colonels. She hit a pair of 3-pointers and totaled three rebounds.

Natalie Duggins hauled in nine boards, followed by six from
Emma Rose Vincent. As a team, the Colonels out-rebounded the Lynx, 38-34. Vincent also paced Centre with four assists.
- Rhodes held a 44-20 advantage in points in the paint and a 16-4 edge in points off turnovers.
