DANVILLE, Ky. – The Colonels faced conference opponent Sewanee on Homecoming Saturday. The Gold & White dominated the Tigers with a score of 6 - 1, remaining undefeated in Southern Athletic Association (SAA) play.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- The Colonels struck first, landing an early goal from sophomore
Jackie Rodriguez off an assist from
Olivia Broyles.
- Putting together another point for the Colonels, freshman
Emily Ritchie landed her first career goal with the help of
Peyton Gahm.
- Following suit, Gahm and
Maggie Will placed the next two shots for the Gold & White, bringing the score to 4 – 0 in favor of Centre.
- The Tigers marked their singular goal midway through the second period.
- Rodriquez answered minutes later, marking her second goal, the Colonel's fifth, late in the second half.
- Rounding out the scoring,
Meghan Speth generated a goal late in the game to fix the final score at 6 – 1 in favor of the Colonels.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The Colonels controlled the game in penalty corner opportunities. Centre had 16 chances to Sewanee's one.

Carlie McKenry shared time in goal. The two keepers created two saves together.
- After Saturday's win, the Colonels improve to a 7 – 5 record, remaining undefeated in SAA play.
