MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Centre field hockey traveled to Tennessee to face conference opponent Rhodes College on Sunday. The Colonels, now 7- 6 on the season, fell to Lynx by a score of 8 – 0.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Resulting from a penalty corner, the Lynx landed their opening goal early in the first period.
- Following their initial point, Rhodes sank another shot to bring the score to 2 - 0 entering the second quarter.
- The home team continued their scoring run in the second period, marking two more goals, bringing the halftime score to Rhodes four, Centre zero.
- Rhodes would continue to add to their lead, attaining three more points in the third quarter.
- The Lynx would cement the final score at 8 - 0 after planting one additional goal in the final period.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Rhodes commanded much of the offensive game, taking 12 shots-on-goal, finishing eight. Centre took three shots.
- The Lynx favored in corner opportunities, having nine while Centre had three.

Kate Helton shared time in goal. The two keepers produced four saves for the Gold & White.
