MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Centre women's soccer team (10-2, 2-1 SAA) continued their slew of games on the road on Friday afternoon, taking on the Rhodes Lynx (5-2-1, 2-1 SAA) in a battle south. The Colonels' three goals in less than six minutes helped surge themselves past their opponent, winning on a 4-2 final score.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- The game didn't start off in the Gold and White's favor, Rhodes knocking the game's icebreaker with a penalty kick goal.

Alexis Kronenthal kicked off her night in the 25th minute of the game, connecting on a rebound just above the goalkeeper's reach and under the crossbar.
- 204 seconds later,
Lydia Bowling would tip in a crossed pass from the far side of the field into the right side of the goal, opposite of where the Lynx's goalie was position.
- Pushing their lead to two,
Megan Sidaway would send the ball from the near-side of the field to Kronenthal 151 seconds after their last goal, the freshman deflecting the pass into the top-left area of the net for her second goal of the game.
- Kronenthal wouldn't be taking her foot off the gas in the second half, completing the hat trick on the 60th minute in a header to the left bottom corner of the net.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Friday's four goals marks the third time in four games that the Colonels have tallied four scores in a single game.
- Kronenthal's hat trick against Rhodes is the first achievement for the program of the season and the first since
Megan Sidaway's three goals against Berry in the final game of the 2020 (spring 2021) season.
- The Colonels defense has continued to minimize their opponents' chances to score as of late, Friday marking the fourth time in the last six games that they've allowed three or less shots attempted in a single contest.
- The 10 shots on goal for the Gold and White against Rhodes is the sixth time this season the team has recorded a double-digit number in that statistical category for a single game.
