WESTERVILLE, Ohio – In the final hurdle in the four-game road trip to kick off the start of the season, the Centre women's lacrosse team (1-3) took on Otterbein on Saturday afternoon in another game in Ohio. The Colonels will look to learn what they can from this contest before their next game at home, falling to the Cardinals on a final score of 16-10.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- The Gold and White were able to get a hot start in the first quarter, scoring three-straight unanswered goals to kick off the contest.
- Otterbein immediately responded for around the next six minutes, responding with four-straight goals of their own to take the lead in the second quarter.
- The two teams would go back-and-forth for the rest of the first half,
Lily Gahm scoring the tying mark off an assist from
Haley Rice.
- The Cardinals' second-half adjustments worked near perfect, rattling off seven unanswered goals to take a six-goal lead over Centre.

Haley Rice was the Colonels' leading point-scorer with four points, a season-high for the freshman. Rice's points came off of a pair of goals and assists.
- The Colonels got plenty of looks at the goal with 27 shots in the contest, but converted on only 37-percent of those shots, a season low.
- The Gold and White had four players with at least three points in Saturday's contest, the second time Centre has completed the feat in the first four games of the season.

McKenna Hulette's three caused turnovers marked a season-high for the senior midfielder, her career-high being four from the 2019 season.
