CONWAY, Ark. – Looking to extend their win streak to three games, the Centre women's lacrosse team (4-4, 1-1 SAA) eyed their Hendrix contest on Saturday as their way to that streak. The Colonels would do just that in a dominant fashion, claiming the win on a 21-5 victory.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- The Warriors were actually the first team to get on the scoreboard, tallying a goal with 6:12 remaining in the first period.
- Centre would emerge with the lead in the second period after a pair of two-goal runs,
Haley Rice owning two of the four goals.
- From the 8:02 mark in the second period to 6:40 left in the final period, the Gold and White would erupt for 16-straight unanswered score against the Warriors.
McKenna Hulette would even nail one of those goals in a man-down situation.
- Hendrix would score two of the last three goals in the final four minutes of action, but it would result to be too little, too late.
