JACKSON, Miss. – Centre dropped its Southern Athletic Association series finale at Millsaps Sunday, falling by a 9-1 final at the Millsaps Softball Complex.
The Colonels end the weekend 4-10 (0-6 SAA) and the Majors improve to 7-8 (3-0).

Lucy Baseheart worked around a couple early baserunners to keep Millsaps off the board through two innings.
- The Colonels took a lead in the top of the third
Riley McCue doubled to bring home
Sawyer Lecius.
- Millsaps began the bottom of the frame with three straight hits, and eventually brought four runs across the plate to take a 4-1 advantage.
- The Majors added five more in the fourth inning – four of which came during a two-out rally.
- Needing a run to extend the game, Centre had two baserunners as
Kaylen Storms and
Kaylee Gregory reached on walks. But the Majors held the Colonels scoreless to secure the victory.
- McCue finished with two of Centre's four hits.
- Millsaps had 10 hits as a team, and took advantage of two Centre errors.
