DANVILLE, Ky. – After starting a win streak last Friday with a win over Rhodes, the Centre men's lacrosse team (8-5, 5-0 SAA) looked to move that mark to three on Sunday afternoon. The Colonels achieved just that with a win over the Hendrix Warriors, taking down the visitors on a final score of 13-10.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- The Gold and White were able to start the game with momentum on their side, scoring six unanswered goals to kick off the contest.
Ridr Knowlton and
Will Hubbs each had a pair during that stretch, the Colonels assisting on three of those six scores.
- Hendrix was able to close out the first quarter in the final moments, cutting Centre's lead to five.
- The Colonels were able to match the Warriors' offense score-by-score in the second period,
David Caldwell and
Paxton Brown each popping a score during the period.

Sammy Zickel earned a third of his save total in the second period of action heading into halftime, earning three off of 11 Warrior shots to help Centre maintain a five-goal lead.
- The Warriors kicked up their offense in the second half of action, spewing four-straight goals to open the third period.
- Knowlton shut down Hendrix's momentum with a little less than three minutes left in the third, finding an excellent look from Hubbs to push the Colonel lead to two.
- After the Warriors ended the third quarter with a short run, Centre shifted gears and made one of their own, slamming three unanswered shots in the back of the net. Caldwell was able to earn two of the three scores during that time span, including one in a man-up situation.

- Knowlton's hat trick marks the third time this year that the sophomore has had at least three goals in a single game this season.

Graham Robbins both led the team with three caused turnovers each against Hendrix, both marking season-highs in a single contest.
