WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Centre men's soccer team (0-1) opened the season on the road up north, kicking off their 2022 season against the No. 24-ranked Otterbein Cardinals on Thursday. The Cardinals bested the Colonels in the season opener, the Gold and White falling on a final score of 4-1.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- The Colonels were close to putting a notch on the scoreboard in the first half,
Finnegan Deem-Ranzetta putting up a shot in the top-left side of the net in the 25th minute of the contest that would be saved by the Otterbein goalkeeper.
- The Gold and White couldn't contain the Cardinal offensive pushes, falling behind at halftime on a score of 3-0.

Drew Davidson would clock in Centre's first goal of the season off an assist by fifth-year senior
Ethan Noel in the 59th minute.
- The Cardinals would close out the game with the final goal of the contest, putting the score in the 67th minute.

- After earning two assists as a freshman, Davidson's score on Thursday night marks his first collegiate goal.
