DANVILLE, Ky. – After playing just yesterday, the Centre men's soccer team (0-4-2) stepped onto the field on Sunday afternoon for a game against the DePauw Tigers (3-2-3). The two programs concluded the match even, tying on a final score of 1-1.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- The Colonels almost got on the board within the game's first minute,
Zeke Saviello sending a shot-on-goal to the bottom center of the net that the Tiger goalie saved.
- The Gold and White continued to lay on the offense in the contest's first 17 minutes, sending six shots towards the net during that time frame.
- DePauw would find the open spot first, putting a shot in the back of the net with 47 seconds left in the first hald.
- Centre continued the early pressure to open the second half, taking three corner kicks before the Tigers could get one themselves or a shot.

Luke Morgan would set the game to even in the 69th minute, the shot coming after eluding a Tiger defender.
- The Colonels gave their all at the end, putting up four shots within the final 180 seconds of the contest.
- Within the final 10 seconds,
Sota Ippongi would send a great shot just under the cross bar, the DePauw goalie's fingers just sending it up and out of the way.
- Saviello would rebound Ippongi's shot in front of the goal in the game's final two seconds, the shot though being sent out to the top right to go out of bounds to conclude the match.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The Colonels' offensive aggression was shown in the box score, putting up 18 shots in the 90-minute contest.
- The Gold and White's defense didn't let DePauw get many opportunities, forcing a season-low in shots faced by only allowing seven Tiger attempts at the goal.
- Morgan's score marks the first of his career, the sophomore getting one assist last season in the eight games he appeared in.

Aidan Hartman made his first appearance as the team's goalkeeper, the 6-2 Broomfield, Colo., native collecting three saves in his debut.
