Centre duels with Pioneers on the road

LEXINGTON, Ky. – After tying DePauw in their previous contest, the Centre men's soccer team (0-5-2) took on the Transylvania Pioneers (2-2-3) on Wednesday night west of Danville, Ky. Transylvania took the lead early and held off the Colonels, the Gold and White falling on a final score of 1-0.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Transylvania's lone goal came in the first half, the assisted goal making way in the game's seventh minute of action.
- The Colonels were able to get off some shots in the first half, Nick Peitrie, Drew Davidson and Sota Ippongi taking a chance at the net during a five-minute span.
- Jacob Camacho would hold strong for Centre in the second half, the junior saving a Transylvania shot 45 seconds into the second half.
- Everett Hauser was able to break away from the pack in the game's final minutes, his shot-on-goal in the 86th minute saved by the Pioneer keeper.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Hauser's two shots-on-goal marks a career high for the senior, both of his attempts at a goal being on the mark.
- The Colonels' three shots-on-goal in seven total shots tallies the fourth game this season where they've had at least 40-percent of their shots on target.
- Transylvania's 11 fouls is the fourth time this season the Gold and White have drawn double-digits in that statistical category.
