Hensley leads the Colonels as they remain undefeated in conference play

DANVILLE, Ky. – On Sunday, Centre women's basketball tallied another win, adding to their undefeated conference record. Facing Hendrix College, the Colonels put up 77 to the Warrior's 48.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

- To kick start the game, Piper Hensley hit her first of four from behind the arc, giving Centre their first lead of the game. The senior would go on to lead the Colonels in scoring and tie for the game's leader in points.
- After trading baskets for nearly five minutes of the second quarter, Centre's Payton Herold netted a long ball that set in a lead the Colonels would never lose. Entering the halftime break, Centre held a 17-point edge over the Warriors.
- Out of half, both teams suffered at a three-minute scoring drought. Makya Grinter broke the spell with a fast break lay-up, connecting an additional free throw. With one second remaining, senior Taylor Garrett hit a turn-around jumper to extend Centre's lead to 19 entering the fourth quarter.
- In the final quarter, Centre's defensive collected their highest number of caused turnovers, eventually forcing Hendrix to use their last timeout. Out of the break, the Colonels didn't stutter, going on a 12-3 score run. To close the game, Centre landed two uninterrupted long balls, one of which was first-year Leah DeLeon's first career basket.
