DANVILLE, Ky. - Centre women's soccer took on Asbury University in a late season non-conference tilt and prevailed by a tally of 2-0.
The Colonels moved to 9-1-4 overall after the contest between Bluegrass squads.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- The first goal for the home side came just before the start of the second minute.
Annabel Justice connected with
Megan Sidaway who was at the top of the goal area. She sent the ball into the net with a powerful shot.
- Centre scored the second goal of the match in the 73rd minute.
Lindsay Carr netted the goal with a beautiful shot into the back left corner of the goal. It was the first goal of the season for Carr.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The Colonels had a 7-1 advantage in shots and a 4-1 lead in shots on target going into halftime. The Gold & White also had control of the ball for a majority of the first 45 as they held possession for 71 percent of the half.
- Centre made a full platoon switch in the 23rd minute with a new 11 taking the field at Amend. A total of 29 Colonels saw the field over 90 minutes.
- The Gold & White ended with 19 total shots while holding the Eagles to just two. Total shots on goal held another wide margin with Centre leading 8-1.
- Wednesday marked the sixth match of the season where the Gold & White's opponents tallied no corner kicks.

Megan Sidaway led the match with four shots, while
Lindsay Carr held the advantage in shots on target with two.

Grace Dutcher started in goal for the Colonels and played a total of 68:40 while
Anna Thomas recorded 21:20 in net for Centre and collected the team's only save.
