Women’s soccer dominates in 10-0 win

BIRMINGHAM - The Centre women's soccer team fired on all cylinders in a 10-0 drubbing of Birmingham-Southern in a Southern Athletic Association (SAA) tilt.

It is the most goals scored by the Colonels in a single game since 1998.

Centre moved to 10-1-4 overall and remain perfect 5-0 in SAA play after the victory. This was the team's fifth straight win of the season.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Maggie Corbett opened the scoring in the third minute when a corner kick from Annabel Justice found her foot and then went into the goal.
- Megan Sidaway was the next to tally a goal when she scored unassisted in the 10th minute. She added another goal in the 59th minute on an assist from Cara Francke
- Bella Nelson scored the third goal of the game when she sent a powerful shot into the left corner of the goal in the 14th minute.
- Riley Givens added to the Gold & White's tally with a penalty kick goal in the 27th minute.
- Alexis Kronenthal added goals five and seven to the Centre effort in her double dip. The first was a long ball at the top of the penalty arc.
- The Colonel onslaught concluded with three more goals. Claire Mullen scored unassisted in the 69th minute while Nicole Limehouse earned a brace with goals in the 70th and 86th minutes.
