BIRMINGHAM – A trip to Alabama for Centre men's soccer concluded with a 1-1 stalemate with Birmingham-Southern in a Friday Southern Athletic Association (SAA) matchup.
The Colonels overall record is now 5-6-3 overall with a 1-1-3 mark in SAA action.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- The only first half score came courtesy of
Everett Hauser.
Drew Davidson sent the ball to Hauser from the left side. Hauser sent the ball past a leaping keeper in the 38th minute.
- Centre led in shots (9-6) in the first frame and had two attempts on goal.
- In the second half, the Panthers scored the equalizer on a penalty kick in the 64th minute.
- The Colonel offense was once again the leader in shot attempts in the second half with a 7-1 advantage. Six of that tally were the final shots of the game for either team.
- Two shots came for the Gold & White in the final six minutes, courtesy of Hauser and
Sota Ippongi, but neither found the inside of the net in the 1-1 stalemate.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Centre's 16 total shots were the second most attempts in any match this season.

Sota Ippongi took the most attempts on target with two to his name.
- A total of seven squad members for Centre took shots with five taking multiple offensive chances.

Jacob Camacho played all 90 minutes in goal for the Colonels and made four saves on the night.
