ROME, Ga. - The largest winning streak of the season for Centre volleyball came to an end on Saturday afternoon as the Colonels saw their six-game unbeaten streak end at the hands of the no. 13 Berry Vikings in four sets.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- In the first set, Berry used a 7-0 run to blow open what had been a close game, staying in control and winning 25-16.
- The second set played out in similar fashion as Berry broke a 7-7 tie with seven consecutive points. Centre scored six of the next seven to cut the deficit to two, but Berry followed that up with a 7-1 run to regain the advantage and win by a score of 25-19.
- With their backs against the wall, Centre fell behind early 9-3 in the third set before chipping away at the lead and eventually blasting Berry with an 8-1 run at the midway point to give them the lead for good. The Colonels scored the last three points to extend the match with a 25-19 win as
Madi Winfield provided the final point with an ace.
- The Vikings put away the fourth set with an early 8-1 run as the Colonels couldn't get over the hump, eventually falling by a score of 25-15.

Emily Gardner posted a game high 33 assists while also recording a career high 25 digs.

Madi Barron tied for a game high with 27 digs as the Colonels held a 95-93 advantage in digs.
