DANVILLE, Ky. – The Centre volleyball team improved to 8-2 in conference play and 14-7 overall as they completed the season sweep of the Sewanee Tigers in straight sets.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

- The first set belonged to the Colonels as they used a 9-2 run early and a 10-2 run late to slam the door on a smooth 25-13 win as Abby Swartz and Isabel Thornton combined on a tandem block for the clinching point.
- In the second set, Centre had to play from behind in the first half as the Tigers took a 14-9 lead. The Colonels battled back and eventually took the lead at 18-17 on a kill from Swartz. With the score tied at 18-18, Centre scored seven of the final eight points as a Syd Bietz kill put a cap on a 25-19 win.
- The Colonels got off to a great start in set 3 as they jumped out to an early 6-1 lead. Sewanee rallied to eventually tie it at 15-15, but Centre stormed back with eight of the next nine points, winning 25-16 after kills from Thornton and Swartz.
