DANVILLE, Ky. – Centre volleyball secured another winning season as they improved to 15-7 on the year and 9-2 in conference play after defeating the Millsaps Majors in straight sets.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- The opening set was closely contested throughout as the lead switched back and forth, with both teams delivering several big runs. Millsaps led 23-22 before the Colonels rallied for the win as
Syd Bietz and
Abby Swartz delivered consecutive kills to give Centre a 25-23 win.
- In the second set, Centre held the lead throughout and put it away late with a 6-0 run to take a 25-15 victory.
- The third set looked to be a repeat of the second as Centre used an 8-1 rally to take a 20-11 lead. The Majors stormed back, fighting off four match points to tie the score at 24-24, but
Brooke Palmer and
Emily Sullivan's kills slammed the door on a 26-24 win and the match victory for the Colonels.

- Bietz's nine kills were a game high as Centre once again benefited from a balanced scoring attack.

Emily Gardner led all players with 23 assists, with
Olivia Chojnacki adding ten.
- The Colonels held a 55-47 in digs, led by
Madi Winfield, who had a game high 14.
