Men’s soccer plays to scoreless draw with Rhodes

DANVILLE, Ky. – A 90-minute Southern Athletic Association (SAA) battle between Centre men's soccer and Rhodes College concluded with a 0-0 draw on Sunday afternoon.

The stalemate moved the Colonels to 5-6-2 overall and 1-1-2 in the SAA, while the Lynx are 7-1-3 on the season and 2-0-2 in conference action.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Centre had two shots in goal in the first half. Those shots came from Sota Ippongi in the 16th minute and Luke Morgan in the 22nd minute.
- The Colonel defense held strong despite the visiting Lynx getting seven shots off, with three of them on goal. Jacob Camacho saved all three of those shots on target.
- It was a flipped script in the second act of the contest as Centre held an advantage in shots (8-7) and held even with the opponents in corner kicks (2-2).
- A flurry of yellow cards came late in the game as both teams were battling to get a score. One of those cards led to a shot from Everett Hauser off a free kick that unfortunately was blocked.
- The game ended all knotted up at 0-0 after a strong, defensive battle.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Luke Morgan led the Colonels in shots with three. That tied his career high that he had previously hit two other times.
- Everett Hauser and John Palomino were the other two members of the Gold & White who had multiple shots. Each took two shots each.
- Jacob Camacho had a season-high six saves after playing all 90 minutes in the goal for Centre. He also collected his fifth shutout of the season in the draw.
