DANVILLE, Ky. – A 90-minute Southern Athletic Association (SAA) battle between Centre men's soccer and Rhodes College concluded with a 0-0 draw on Sunday afternoon.
The stalemate moved the Colonels to 5-6-2 overall and 1-1-2 in the SAA, while the Lynx are 7-1-3 on the season and 2-0-2 in conference action.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Centre had two shots in goal in the first half. Those shots came from
Sota Ippongi in the 16th minute and
Luke Morgan in the 22nd minute.
- The Colonel defense held strong despite the visiting Lynx getting seven shots off, with three of them on goal.
Jacob Camacho saved all three of those shots on target.
- It was a flipped script in the second act of the contest as Centre held an advantage in shots (8-7) and held even with the opponents in corner kicks (2-2).
- A flurry of yellow cards came late in the game as both teams were battling to get a score. One of those cards led to a shot from
Everett Hauser off a free kick that unfortunately was blocked.
- The game ended all knotted up at 0-0 after a strong, defensive battle.

Luke Morgan led the Colonels in shots with three. That tied his career high that he had previously hit two other times.

Everett Hauser and
John Palomino were the other two members of the Gold & White who had multiple shots. Each took two shots each.

Jacob Camacho had a season-high six saves after playing all 90 minutes in the goal for Centre. He also collected his fifth shutout of the season in the draw.
