Centre overcomes Vikings in overtime thriller to advance to finals

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Both teams opened the game with scoring runs. The Vikings took an early six point lead before a three from Payton Herold, paired with a couple of two-pointers from Emma Rose Vincent and Makya Grinter, put the score at 11-10 in Berry's favor.
- The Vikings opened the second quarter in a similar style, this time, stretching their hold to nine. The Colonels answered with three consecutive long balls from Grinter and Herold to once again close the deficit to one.
- Out of halftime, Centre took their first lead of the game after Vincent netted the quarter's first bucket. Berry would attempt to regain control but the Colonels would answer every one of the Viking's basket. Bailey Rucker extended Centre's hold to three with a late bucket from long range, putting the score at Centre 33, Berry 30 entering the fourth period.
- With three minutes remaining in competition, the Colonels held a nine point advantage over the visiting Vikings. Berry's offense sparked with a 12-3 run, taking the game's lead with 23 seconds remaining. A jumper from Herold paired with a made free-throw from Piper Hensley kept the Colonels in play, taking the game into overtime.
- In the overtime period, Centre held control for the entire five minutes. Duggins put up the first bucket but additional baskets in Vincent and Herold boosted the Colonels to 65 while Berry halted at 59.
