Men's lacrosse trounces the Golden Eagles

DANVILLE, Ky- On Saturday afternoon, the men's lacrosse team hosted in state opponent, Spalding University. Finding 15 different scorers throughout the contest, the Colonels eased past the Golden Eagles by a score of 25-0. 
 
HIGHLIGHTS
- Centre men's lacrosse began the game at a scorching pace, netting six unanswered goals in the opening quarter. Ryan Black placed the first goal, Ridr Knowlton following just after with the helper from Paxton Brown. By quarter's end, Miguel Sayers, Ben Zickel, and Brown joined their teammates in the scoring column. 
- In the second period, goals came early and often for the Colonels. Andrew Thole, Nate Malubay, and Brown tallied three points within a minute's span, stretching Centre's led to 9. Just after, Jackson Henderson collected his first collegiate goal, following it up with three more later to make him the game's leading scorer.
- The Gold & White continued their dominance into the second half, finding 13 goals in 11 different athletes. By the end of regulation, seven Colonels collected their first collegiate goals including Chole Butler, Luke Price, Keller Riede, Conner Maggard, Max Moldenhauer, Mac Shafer, and Jay McCormick.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Centre held 15 different scorers on their roster, Henderson leading the game with four. Zickel fronted the Colonels in assists with four. 
- At the face-off, Caden Canzano, Alex Mozingo, Butler, and Zickel all split the action. Bulter led with 15 of 16 wins, Canzano following with 10 of 10 successes.  Butler also led in ground balls, taking eight.
- In goal, Ramsay Cole, Kyle Granquist, and Avi Leffler split time. Together the trio stuffed all three shots faced, allowing zero goals.
