CONWAY, Ark.- Men's lacrosse continued their weekend tour south, traveling to Arkansas to face Southern Athletic Association's (SAA) Hendrix College. After an onset of goals, the Colonels overwhelmed their opponents by a score of 20-6, improving to 3-1 in the SAA and 8-3 overall.
HIGHLIGHTS
- The Colonels kick started the day at a fierce pace, finding three uninterrupted goals in the initial five minutes of play.
Max Speers opened the scoring followed by an additional point from rookie
Caden Canzano.
Christian Underhill notched Centre's last point of the period with the help from Speers. Hendrix managed two goals by quarter's end, moving the score to 3-2, the Colonels favoring.
- The Gold & White stormed into the next period with a run that would quadruple the scoring deficit.
Ryan Black collected the first goal with the assist, once again, coming from Speers.
Will Hubbs was the next on the board followed by a point from
Ryan Black. Later,
Dylan Croft found the back of the net with the helper from Hubbs. Hubbs then closed the half with a goal of his own, this time with the assist from
Mick Ginnity. After rendering the Warriors scoreless, the score was set at 8-2 entering the break.
- Centre continued their domination into the second half, adding six new Colonels to the scoring sheet by regulation's end.

Miguel Sayers,
Gavin Fields,
Griffin Weiss,
Paxton Brown, and
Nate Malubay all collected goals while Hubbs and Ginnity continued to add to Centre's score cushion with additional points. In the second half, the Colonels held Hendrix to just four goals, simultaneously racking up 12 of their own. When time ran out, the score finalized at Centre 20, Hendrix six.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Hubbs led the game in goals with four, adding an assist. Black, the overall leader in points (6), matched Knowlton for second most goals in the game with three each. Eight other Colonels collected a goal, one of which was Canzano's first collegiate goal.
- The Colonels more than doubled Hendrix in shots taken, having 54 compared to their 25.
- Centre forced 17 turnovers for the Warriors while only possessing five themselves.
- On defense, the Colonels completed 18-19 clears, their opponents completing 19-25.
- At the face-off,
Alex Mozingo,
Chole Butler, Croft, and Canzano all saw action. Together, they dominated, winning 21 of the 30 taken.
- In goal,
Sammy Zickel,
Hayden Burns,
Avi Leffler, and
Kyle Granquist accumulated minutes, gathering five saves altogether.

Centre men's lacrosse will return home for their next match-up. They host Oglethorpe on April 8th before traveling to Sewanee for their last regular season game on April 15th.
