Centre finishes Bob Allen Nissan Classic against Maryville

DANVILLE, Ky. – Coming off the thrilling 3-0 win against LaGrange on Friday, the Centre men's soccer team (2-2) rounded out the 34th annual Bob Allen Nissan Classic on Sunday against Maryville (2-2-1). The Colonels couldn't continue the win streak, giving up a pair of goals in the first half to the Scots to fall on a 2-0 final score.
 
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- The Scots nailed both goals within the game's first three minutes, each happening within 26 seconds of gametime.
- Centre came out swinging in response, Drew Davidson and John Palomino each taking shots on goal that were eventually saved by the Scots' keeper.
- Maryville took the first shot on goal of the second half, senior goalkeeper Jacob Camacho grabbing the save from the top-right side.
- The Gold & White outshot Maryville in the second half of action, the final shot on goal from the Colonels coming from Palomino just outside the box that was stopped by the goalkeeper on the bottom-left side. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Total shots favored the Colonels eight to six in the Sunday contest, the fourth time this season Centre has outshot their opponent in four games.
- The Gold & White continued their trend of keeping their opponents off the corners, limiting the Scots to one versus Centre's three in the match.
- Centre's 12 shots on goal over the course of the weekend surpasses their opening week last week (seven total).

The Colonels will take the next week on the road up north, facing off against Denison and DePauw in the Friday / Sunday matchups. They'll face off against the Big Red first in Granville, Ohio, kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
