HOLLAND, Mich. – After coming away with a pair of wins in the opening Labor Day weekend last week, the Centre women's soccer team (2-1-1) traveled up north for a pair of contests. They faced off their first of two on Friday against Hope (1-1-1), tying with them on a final score of 1-1.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- The Colonels were able to be the early aggressors in the contest, sophomore
Alexis Kronenthal placing a shot on goal at the top of the net that was eventually saved by Hope in the first minute of play.
- Goalkeeper
Grace Dutcher snagged her first save of the game in the 10th minute of the contest, knocking a shot away from the top-right side.

Bella Nelson landed her third goal of season in the 23rd minute of the game, notching a header from the cross of
Annabel Justice.
- Hope put the pressure on the Gold & White with several shots in the second half, including a save by Dutcher from the bottom half of the net in the 60th minute.
- Hope was able to tie the score in the 76th minute of play.
- Centre continued to look for shots in the ending minutes, senior
Maggie Corbett looking for a spot in the bottom center of the net that was saved by the keeper.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Nelson's three goals in the season's four games so far is the second time her career she hit that mark in the timespan.
- The Gold & White have compiled at least one assist in each of the game's they've tallied a goal so far this season.
- Dutcher's seven saves compiled against Hope is the highest mark of her career, notching her 11th career game for the Colonels on Friday.
