DANVILLE, Ky. – Centre men's basketball returned home for the first time since Nov. 28 as they faced the defending SAA regular season champion Berry Vikings. Tonight's game went to the Vikings, who took it by a score of 94-45.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- The first eight minutes were evenly matched as six different Centre players scored in the early going. A basket from
Blake Stewart knotted the game at 14-14 at the second media timeout.
- Berry broke the game wide open over the next seven minutes as Centre missed 11 straight shots and the Vikings scored 24 straight points.
- The Vikings never looked back as they took a 50-23 lead at the half and controlled the second half as well.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Centre's lone double figure scorer was Chicago freshman
Kaden White, who played well off the bench in the second half to score 11 points in 11 minutes.
- The Colonels had their lowest shooting performances of the season as they went 25.7 percent from the field (25-70) and 11.1 percent from three-point range (3-27).
