Women’s soccer notches eighth shutout

CONWAY, Ark. - Centre women's soccer won a second-straight Southern Athletic Association (SAA) match with a 2-0 shutout of Hendrix College on Friday evening in Arkansas.

The Colonels wrapped up the night sitting at 10-3-1 overall and 3-1 in the SAA while the Warriors fell to 5-2-5 overall and 1-1-2 in league play.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- A shot from Lindsay Carr hit the hands of the keeper in the second minute and bounced off. Claire Cavacini took control of the ball and fired it into the net for the first goal of the match.
- The second goal was also courtesy of Cavacini. The freshman fielded a pass from Alexis Kronenthal in the 83rd minute and placed a shot into the right side of the goal. It was the final score in the 2-0 shutout.
