GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Centre got three shots off in the first half of action. Defense was also working hard for the visiting team as the Colonels allowed just one shot on goal and it was stopped by
Grace Dutcher.
- Both teams got more chances on goal in the second half. Centre tallied four more shots and
Claire Cavacini got a shot on target off.
- Rhodes had four shots in the final 10 minutes but the defense for the Gold & White held strong and kept the ball out of the net.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Centre's nine shutouts this season mark the amount the Colonels had in the 2023 season through the end of the postseason. That tally is the second best in the SAA.
-
Claire Cavacini and
Alexis Kronenthal led the Colonels with two shots each. Cavacini is second in the SAA in both shots and shots on goal in league contests.
- Each team tallied two corner kicks over the 90 minute stalemate.
-
Grace Dutcher saved four shots from going in over 90 minutes. Those saves put her at 42 on the year, which is a season-high tally for the senior.
LOOKING AHEAD
- Centre currently sits tied with Rhodes for second place in the SAA standings with one match remaining before the conference tournament. If the squads remain tied at the end of the regular season the team with the most SAA Points earned against succeeding teams in the final standings will take the higher seed.
