DANVILLE, Ky. - The Centre volleyball team remained unbeaten conference play as the Colonels pulled off their second regular season series sweep of the year, knocking off the Hendrix Warriors in straight sets.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- The Colonels dominated the opening set, scoring five of the first six points and never trailing. Leading 19-13, Centre scored the final six points of the set to take it by a 25-13 margin.
- In the second set, Centre held a small lead for the most part, but the visiting Warriors kept it close. The Colonels forced a set point after going up 24-20, but Hendrix responded with a furious rally to force a set point of their own at 25-24.
Syd Bietz kept the Colonels alive with a clutch kill, and then after Centre scored again, Bietz delivered with another big kill and Centre got the win by a score of 27-25.
- The third set was close as both teams took turns making rallies and taking the lead. Eventually the Colonels pulled ahead and won 25-20 as a block by
Emily Gardner and a kill from Bietz gave the Colonels their final two points.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Bietz led all players with 16 kills.
- Gardner finished with a game high 30 assists and also posted a new career high mark with five blocks.

June Padilla finished with a game high 16 digs, followed by
Madi Winfield with ten.
