WILMORE, Ky. – After a lights-out, 99-point shooting performance last night against Fontbonne, Centre men's basketball was unable to repeat the feat the following day as they dug an early hole against the LeTourneau Yellowjackets and could never get out of it, falling by a score of 83-69 in the second game of the Asbury Invitational.

Jaxson Banks scored the game's first basket, but the Jackets quickly caught fire as they hit six of their first seven from three-point range, jumping out to a 20-9 lead.

Kalib Thomas kept the Colonels within striking distance along with three-pointers by
Elijah Decker and
Ryan Shene. LeTourneau led 39-29 at the half thanks to 67 percent three-point shooting.
- Just as he did to start the game, Banks opened the second half scoring with a three as he and Decker hit long range shots to keep Centre within single digits early in the second half. LeTourneau answered with a 7-0 run to go up by 16 at 55-39 and Centre was unable to get over the hump for the rest of the half.

- Banks led four Colonels in double figures with a career high 18 points.
Landen Hamilton added 17 points, Thomas scored 14 and Decker hit a new season high with 12.
- The Colonels improved their shooting to 46 percent in the second half, but could not cut into the lead as the Jackets shot 56 percent in the half.
- Centre held advantages in second chance points and bench points, with Decker carrying a majority of the load off the bench today.
