SHELBYVILLE, Ind. - The Centre men's cross country team wrapped up their regular season as they raced in the Great Lakes Regional Championships. The Colonels finished 14th overall as
Mitchel Meier took home All-Region honors.
The Colonels finished with a combined team score of 389 points, four back of Baldwin Wallace and seven back of Manchester in a log jam on the leaderboard. Calvin won the meet with 99 points, with John Carroll, Hope, Case Western and Trine rounding out the top five in that order.
Individually, Meier was the low man for the Colonels as he finished 21st overall. Mitch clocked in at 25:32.8 on the 8k course to finish 21st overall, earning All-Region honors as a result of his top 35 finish.
Junior
Reeve VanDemark was next to cross the finish line for Centre, clearing the 8k in 26:21.6.
Duke Wilson (26:41.1) and Max German (26:51.4) followed shortly thereafter to give Centre four finishers in the overall top 100.
James Schroeder rounded out Centre's scoring times by posting a time of 27:08.3, with
Jacob Lloyd (27:39.34) and
Carter Russell (27:54.82) capping off the top seven marks for the Colonels.
