OBERLIN, Ohio - Centre men's cross country returned from an idle week to compete in the Inter-Regional Rumble, facing 25 opponents that included many of the toughest teams in the Great Lakes Region. The Centre men had a strong performance as they finished sixth overall.
The Colonels finished with a combined team score of 189 to finish five points behind an always powerful John Carroll squad and 54 points ahead of host school Oberlin. Case Western Reserve won the meet with 84 points.
Individually,
Reeve VanDemark continued his outstanding senior campaign as he cracked the overall top ten, clearing the almost five-mile track in 25:42.6 to finish eighth overall.
Next to finish for the Colonels was senior
Noah George, who crossed the finish line in 26:21.4 to come in 27th place overall. He was followed by
Jackson Luskin, who snuck inside the overall top 50 with a time of 26:34.10.
Liam Black landed just outside the individual top 50 with a time of 26:44.5, while
Ike Synnestvedt capped off Centre's counted times for the day as he finished the course in 26:53.10.
