DANVILLE, Ky. - Centre women's soccer took care of business in the squad's first game of the 2024 Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Tournament as they blanked Hendrix 4-0 on Saturday afternoon.
The no. 4 seeded Colonels held an 11-4-2 record at the end of the tournament match, while the no. 5 seeded Warriors ended the season with a 6-5-5 record.

Ella Mann used a header to get the scoring started for the Gold & White. The freshman headed a pass from
EJ Bryant in the 22nd minute to give Centre an early lead in the contest.
- Just over three minutes later the Colonels struck again.
Isabella Marcum sent a short pass right to
Avery Buser who scored from the top of the box.
- Coming out of the half, the Gold & White had two more goals left in them. The 49th minute saw a score from
Alexis Kronenthal. The junior raced into the box, which pulled the goalie forward, and snuck a goal in the net.
- The final score of the match was in the 66th minute.
Aida Bell passed the ball to the right post where
Riley Givens was ready to tap in the game's final score.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Each goal scorer had scored at least one goal already this season.
Ella Mann notched her second,
Avery Buser her third,
Alexis Kronenthal her sixth, and
Riley Givens her sixth.
- Centre had a large margin in both total shots (15-3) and shots on goal (9-3). The Gold & White held Hendrix from taking any shots in the first half of action.
- Saturday was the 10th shutout this season for the Colonels. That is the most blankings in a season since the 2021 campaign.
- Centre went with two keepers in the contest.
Grace Dutcher got the start and played 56 minutes and change and stopped one shot.
Anna Thomas came in and played over 33 minutes and stopped two shots.

The Colonels have a meeting with the no. 1 seeded Tigers of Sewanee in the next round of the SAA Tournament. Centre will travel to Tennessee for a 6 p.m. match on Friday, Nov. 8.
