GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- The Colonels were silent in the opening minutes, trailing by 10 points in the initial four minutes. Lilly Reid eventually put Centre on the board with a lay-up directly followed by a made free-throw from Lindsay Jessie. Franklin persisted from behind the arc to regain a double-digit lead before Anna Thomas kick started a 10-0 run to bring Centre within seven entering the second frame.
- Ka'Niah Edelen initiated the period with a lay-up and connected free-throw but by the media timeout, the Grizzles halted Centre to those three points while netting 10 themselves. Out of the break, Claire Russell, Katelyn Stiltner, and Reid matched Franklin with six points, freezing the score at Franklin 41, Centre 27 entering halftime.
- Two minutes into the second half Stiltner opened an 8-2 scoring stretch with back-to-back jumpers, forcing Franklin to burn a timeout. Out of the rest, the two teams nearly matched one another in points, Franklin with seven, Centre with five and heading into the final period, the Colonels trailed 54-42.
