BUENA VISTA, Va.- Centre men's lacrosse traveled north for their first away contest of the season. Doubling the Knights' score (18-9), the Colonels remain undefeated with a 3-0 overall mark.

Noah Malubay got the game started with a man-up goal five minutes in.
Southern Virginia (SVU) replied with their first score of the game, but
Ridr Knowlton answered with the help of
David Caldwell, closing out the quarter with a 2-1 lead.
- The Knights scored a pair early in the second quarter to take a brief lead. The Colonels began to trail off as
Ben Zickel,
Ryan Black, and Knowlton collectively tallied four goals to give Centre the edge entering halftime.
- Out of the locker room, the Colonels separated themselves even further with successive goals from
Miguel Sayers and Knowlton. The Knights managed three goals in the frame, but the Colonels would double that with scores from
Max Speers,
Jack Forrester, Black, and Caldwell. Entering the final frame, the Gold & White led 12-6.
- The final quarter matched the third as the Colonels outscored their opponent 6-3 in the frame. By regulation's end,
Henry Cato and
Nate Malubay joined the scoring column as Speers, Sayers, Malubay (Noah), and Caldwell added further goals to finalize the score at Centre 18, SVU 9.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Black and Knowlton tied for the game's leader in goals, each owning a hat-trick. Caldwell led the field in total points after netting two and assisting four.
- In goal,
Sammy Zickel and
Kyle Granquist split time. Together the two stopped seven of the Knights' shots.

Dylan Croft represented the Colonels at the face-off. He went 15-24 and collected a game high of seven ground balls.
- Centre completed 23 of the 26 clears attempted.
- The Gold & White dominated in ground balls, nabbing 45 to the Knights' 27.
