ROME, Ga. – Centre softball dropped the first two games of the series with No. 6 Berry College on Saturday afternoon. The Colonels fell 9-0 in the first game and 4-2 in a competitive second contest.

Centre fell to 6-12 overall and 3-5 in the SAA after the Saturday doubleheader. The Vikings moved to 20-3 on the season and 5-0 in league play.

GAME ONE: Berry 9, Centre 0 (5 innings)
- The first Colonel batter to reach base was Emily Lammers on a walk in the top of the first inning.
- Another member of the Gold & White, Morgan Tabor, got on base in the top of the second thanks to an error by Berry and then Kaylee Gregory walked in the third to also land on a bag.
- The Vikings tallied four runs in the bottom of the third to take the first lead of the game and then built on that with three more coming home in the bottom of the fourth.
- A two RBI single scored the final two runs of the game for Berry in the home team's 9-0 win.
- Andrea Searcy got the start in the circle and pitched four complete innings for Centre. She struck out one batter. Mia Tomillo pitched the final inning for the Colonels.

GAME TWO: Berry 4, Centre 2
- The Gold & White had two runners get on base in the first frame of the second contest, thanks to an error and a walk, but were held scoreless.
- Cheney Floyd got the first hit of the weekend for Centre on a single to left field in the top of the third inning.
- Two doubles got the first three runs of the game on the board for the Vikings in the third and the home team tacked on another on an RBI single in the fourth frame.
- In the top of the sixth the Colonels got on the scoreboard. Layne Ogle scored on a sacrifice fly from Gregory after she reached first on a single to left field and second on a single from Rylie Bentley. A passed ball scored another run for the Gold & White which cut the Berry lead in half.
