DANVILLE, Ky. - Centre women's soccer in on a roll and knocked off Denison University 2-0 en route to a fourth-straight win.
The Colonels' record moved to 4-1-1 with the win while the Big Red fell to 2-2-1 on the season.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- In the 30th minute,
Josie Bencic received a cross from the right side of the box and tried to head it in but was blocked. The freshman stayed with the play and kicked the ball, which bounced off a teammate, into the goal.
- A little over 30 minutes of game time after the first goal, Centre struck again.
Alexis Kronenthal beat one defender by the top of the penalty arc and then kicked a shot that grazed the keeper's hand on its way into the net to secure the 2-0 win.

Josie Bencic's goal was the first of her collegiate career. She has played 250 minutes for the Colonels so far this season.

Alexis Kronenthal's tally was her second of the season.
- When it came to shots it was a tell of two halves. Centre was on the ba 4-3 in the first half but then doubled up Denison 8-4 in the second frame.
- For the fifth time this season the Colonels led in corner kicks taken. The home team took six to the visitor's three. Five of those corners came in the second half.
- The shutout was the second straight for Colonels after they blanked Transylvania by the same score earlier this season.

Grace Dutcher was the keeper for Centre all 90 minutes and she stopped the one shot on target that came her way.
