DANVILLE, Ky. - Six-straight wins and four-consecutive shutouts are stacked up for Centre women's soccer after they defeated Roanoke College 4-0 on Sunday.
The Colonels sit at 6-1-1 as the conference season nears. The Maroons fell to 0-5-2 with the loss.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- A Gold & White corner kick led to the first goal of the match just over a minute into the action.
Alexis Kronenthal facilitated the set piece and
Isabella Marcum headed that ball into the net for the first goal of her career.
- In the eighth minute a penalty kick added to the Centre lead.
Riley Givens was given the attempt after a foul by the Roanoke keeper. The junior found the back up the net to build the lead to two.
- Givens earned a brace with a goal in the 50th minute. She sent the ball into the left side of the goal while one on one with the keeper on the score assisted by Kronenthal.

Avery Buser scored the final goal of the match in the 69th minute. The freshman took the shot from right inside the left of the goal area by the post off a pass from
Zara McCarthy.

Riley Givens' brace was the first of her collegiate career. She now is one short of her season-high of four goals.
- Givens' four points and two goals are also the most by any Colonel in a match this season.

Avery Buser tallied her second goal of the season, while Isabelle Marcum opened her scoring account.

Alexis Kronenthal's two assists set a 2024 game-high for Centre.
- The Colonels led in total shots (16-8), shots on goal (9-6), and corner kicks (6-1)
- Two keepers again played for Centre.
Grace Dutcher spent the first 72:10 in the goal for the Colonels while
Anna Thomas played the final 17:50. Dutcher stopped all five shots that came her way.
