WILMORE, Ky. - Head coach
Jay Hoffman '96 got his 300th career win as Centre women's soccer rolled to a 3-0 victory over Asbury University on Wednesday night.
The Colonels, winners of seven straight, hold a 7-1-1 record after the win. The Eagles dropped to 3-3-2 after the midweek decision.
MAJOR MILESTONE
Head coach Jay Hoffman now sits with a 300-77-36 overall record. He has guided the Colonels to eleven consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances (2011-2022), ten straight Southern Athletic Association titles (2012-2022) and a 2015 NCAA Final Four run. He was also the head coach for Centre's first and second ever undefeated and untied regular seasons in program history.

Riley Givens notched the first goal of the night less than five minutes into the match.
Lindsay Carr dished a ball from just outside the right of the penalty area to Givens, ready 12 yards out from the goal, who notched the goal in the fourth minute.

Grace Plummer in the ninth minute.
Alexis Kronenthal stripped the ball from an Asbury player and sent the ball to Plummer from the opposite side of the halfway line from the Centre goal. With no defenders close, Plummer took a shot from 18 yards out that found the back of the net.

Claire Cavacini notched the third goal for the visiting team. She intercepted a pass from an Eagle player and beat a defender and the goalkeeper before sending a ball in for a score.

- The Colonels hold the team's longest winning streak since 2021 when the Gold & White won 12 straight games.
- The team also has the most consecutive shutouts (5) since Centre notched seven-straight in that 2021 season when the Colonels advanced to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16.

Claire Cavacini each scored their second goals of the year in the match.

Alexis Kronenthal notched her third assist of the season while
Lindsay Carr dished her first of 2024.
- The Colonels allowed the Eagles just one shot, none in the first half, while taking 14 in the contest. The last time the Gold & White held a team to one or fewer shots was in October of 2023 versus Birmingham-Southern.
- Asbury also had no corner kicks while Centre took nine.

Grace Dutcher got the start in goal for the Colonels and played for 75:38.
Anna Thomas came in for the final 14:22 of the match and stopped the Eagles' lone shot.
