DANVILLE, Ky. - The start of Southern Athletic Association (SAA) action for Centre women's soccer began with a 9-0 rout of Oglethorpe on Saturday afternoon.
The Colonels' win streak moved to eight games and pushed the season record to 8-1-1 and the SAA mark to 1-0. The Stormy Petrels left Danville with a 4-4-1 season mark and 0-1 SAA tally.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- In the first minute, a corner kick from
Alexis Kronenthal found
Olivia Bretz by the goal area and was sent in for an early goal.

Claire Cavacini found
Riley Givens inside the box in the sixth minute to move the Centre lead to 2-0.
- Kronenthal got her second assist in the 22nd minute. She dished to a running
Grace Plummer who put the ball in the back right corner of the net.
- She then got her first goal of the match in the 33rd minute off of a corner kick.
- Plummer and Kronenthal linked up again for a goal with a little over 11 minutes remaining in the first frame.

Brooke Beasley tallied the first goal of the second half which was assisted by
Isabella Marcum. Kronenthal tallied the half's second score.

Ella Mann and
Zara McCarthy, who dished out an earlier assist, scored the final two goals of the 9-0 conference win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The Colonels continue to hold the team's longest winning streak since 2021 when the Gold & White won 12 straight games.
- The team also has the most consecutive shutouts (6) since Centre notched seven-straight blankings, also in that 2021 season where the Colonels advanced to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16.
- Centre had 39 shots in the game and held Oglethorpe to none. The last time the Colonels took that many or more shots was in 2022 versus Asbury.

Alexis Kronenthal had two goals. Her three assists where a career-record for the junior.
- Freshman
Grace Plummer's brace was her first multiple-goal game as a Centre Colonel.
- The freshman movement continued as
Ella Mann scored her first collegiate goal and
Zara McCarthy notched her second.

Riley Givens has now scored at least one goal in the last three games.
