Centre hosted its annual diving invite on Saturday at Champions Hall. With several teams withdrawing, the event turned into a defacto duel with the University of the Cumberlands. The Colonels finished 1-2 on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards in both the men's and women's competitions.

Justin Toth dominated the men's 1-meter event with consistent scores on difficult dives from the start. He won the event with a total of 325.42 points, over 34 points clear of 2nd place, Garrett George. Brandon Anderson finished 3rd with a score of 278.10. Sam Baker finished 5th, Ben Reynolds 6th, and Garrett Urash in 7th. When the men moved up top for the 3-meter portion of the day, it looked like Toth would run away again as he held a sizable lead midway through the 6 rounds of dives. Garrett George then came on strong down the stretch and passed Toth late to pick up the win with 336.00 points to Toth's 330.67. Brandon Anderson finished 3rd again with a score of 309.00. Ben Reynolds moved up to 5th while Sam Baker finished 6th with Garrett Urash in 7th. George, Toth, and Anderson all broke a scoring threshold that puts them within range of automatically qualifying for NCAA Regionals.

On the women's side, Erin Dannemiller took home 1st place on the 3-meter boards. She led wire-to-wire with a final score of 190.80. Riley Taylor was just behind in 2nd with a score of 187.64. Sara Jean Postle finished 5th with Marissa Loster in 7th. On the 1-meter boards, it was Riley Taylor squeaking out a narrow victory over Dannemiller, 211.35-209.77. Sara Jean Postle made the biggest move of the day as she jumped from 5th on the low boards to 3rd up top, finishing with 186.22 points. Marissa Loster finished in 7th with 112.65 points.

The Colonels are next in action on Tuesday night in a tri-match against Campbellsville and Midway. The swim team will also be in action that night at Champions Hall as it all starts at 6:30pm and will be streamed live on centrecolonels.com.
