OBERLIN, Ohio – The Centre women's cross country team had another strong team performance this morning as they competed against some of the toughest teams in the Great Lakes Region at the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble. The Colonels finished in third place out of 25 teams.
The Colonels finished with a combined team score of 129 points to finish third overall, 39 points behind John Carroll and ten points ahead of Washington & Jefferson. Case Western Reserve won the meet with 76 points.
Individually, the Colonels had two runners place in the top ten as
Gracie West placed eighth overall after completing the 3.73-mile course in 22:17.1. Ten seconds later,
Sophie Bouldin crossed the finish line to come in tenth place overall.
Four more of Centre's runners cracked the individual top 50.
Cara Taylor finished 37
th overall with a time of 23:44.4, followed closely by
Claire Barnett in a flat 23:48.
Adelyn Shupert made it into her first top five team finish of the season as she posted a time of 23:53.4 to round out Centre's counted scores in 43
rd place.
Emma Musgrave landed just inside the top 50 after posting a time of 24:06.4.
